Our Mission
ABLE Allies empowers adults ages 18 and older with disabilities to build meaningful, connected, and increasingly independent lives through friendship, life-skills development, employment readiness, community engagement, and inclusive opportunities to grow and thrive.

Our Story...

ABLE Allies was created from a simple belief: every adult deserves opportunities to belong, grow, build relationships, and live a meaningful life.
After many years in special education, co-founder Wendi King saw how much support, friendship, and community students with disabilities experienced in school — and how dramatically those opportunities could change once they entered adulthood.
Co-founded by Wendi King and her daughter, Erin Pete, ABLE Allies was created to help bridge that gap by providing adults ages 18 and older with disabilities opportunities for friendship, life-skills development, employment readiness, community involvement, and greater independence.
At ABLE Allies, we focus not on limitations, but on possibilities.
